Corrective Skin Peels

A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The treated skin "peels" away (hence the name) and the skin underneath is revealed. This skin is smoother, more hydrated, and will accept products much more readily.

With a light or medium peel, you may need to undergo the procedure more than once to get the desired results.

Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, discolored skin and scars - these can be on the face or body. They can be done alone or combined with other procedures (listed on the bottom of the page). Aestheticians in Nevada are only allowed to perform lighter peels or medium depth peels with medical oversight.

Corrective skin peels or chemical peels have come a long way in the last 10 years! Gone are the days where you have to experience a lot of pain and downtime to see results. In fact, there are so many options that we can now completely customize a peel series for your goals, desired downtime, and tolerance to actives.

Cost: $70 and up. A consultation is required to begin a peel series.

Time: 15-45 minutes

How Often?: Depending on the depth of the peel and desired results, these can be done as often as weekly (micropeels). There are even peel pads with low level acidic combinations that can be done daily. The stronger the peel, the more required wait time in between.

Who Is It For? Chemical peels are delightfully customizable now and, due to this fact, anyone can enjoy this effective form of exfoliation when adjusted to their specific needs.

Is It Painful? Peels can vary greatly on activity level. Some will have no sensation and others will be quite active (tingly/itchy). This also depends on your skins' sensitivity. Possible discomfort and downtime will be discussed during your consultation, before the peel process is done, as well as during.
